i loved the aesthetics but like i was so shocked when the fairy godmother married the dad! amour

one of jacques demy’s most visually stunning films, and my favorite by him! it’s a sweet fairytale that looks absolutely breathtaking, and is filled with avant garde artistic visuals. i was literally taking pictures of this movie like i was at a concert 😭 also fuckinh helicopter

Bizarre plot and just overall weird surrealist vibes but the costumes are insanely cool. The random singing is also strange and not in a good way. Aesthetically however the film is gorgeous.

The dresses in this film were spectacular, but why the helicopter at the end? It was so funny. Most of the songs felt like lullabies it was really cute

Beautiful movie, Beautiful set design and costumes. Told like an old Brothers Grimm tale part of why I loved it so much. So morbidly dreamy. Loved the slo mo and randomness. Talking roses and helicopters? Fuck it

Probably the weirdest movie I’ve ever seen but boy was it beautiful. It was as bizarre as it was glamorous and I applaud the French for always keeping it weird.

It was pretty good, loved the costuming/jewelry, coloring and, sets. The singing was great and they had some chemistry. Some of it was a bit weird, especially with her dad and the people/animals that were fully painted red or blue. Very fairytale like except the helicopter. 8/10

Soooo kitsch and absurd and incredible to watch. One of my comfort movies for sure
