I don’t care what the average rating is this was boring

Lives up to the hype as one of the best horror films ever made. Easily top 5 cold opens of all time, and what a brutal ending. Donald Sutherland (RIP) brilliant as ever with a story that takes its time but pays off very satisfyingly

It's a firm drama and not at all horror. Not a good drama either.

I was hoping the ending was going to pay off, but unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied. It's a decent film, but too slow and boring.

just was confused the whole time and although there was cool collections I felt it moved slow and i didn’t really get the ending

The ending would've been fine if the movie was actually interesting throughout, but it wasn't. Adding random suspense sound effects over scenes of people walking around buildings aimlessly doesn't make it any more suspenseful

I loved the spooky atmosphere and the setting but the ending was very disappointing and unsatisfying. Somewhat predictable and honestly not much happens. I applaud the use of handheld cameras and the unique style of filmmaking but otherwise nothing special.

Really cinematic for how underground it is

It was a waste of time and so boring. The only good part was the first and last 5 minutes. (8-9-25)

I'm just not a fan of these artsy 70s movies. the red symbolism didn't really do enough for how often it showed up. that sex scene is just funny, it like 5 minutes of humping. the kid dying didn't even do much in the long run! the lady at the end was funny!

A surreal and haunting film about loss and what it does to us. Beautiful cinematography and incredible performances. RIP Donald Sutherland

Deserves the hype. The ending was one of the most climactic ever, even though it didn’t really carry any meaning. Like why is THAT the thing. First scene is like an even sadder first 10 minutes of up. An absolute horror classic.

A heartbreaking supernatural drama! The last ten minutes will scare the crap out of you.
