Absolutely brutal and horrendously sad. I recommend if you want to feel horrible for the family this movie follows.

One of the most unsettling Stephen King stories, and that says a lot since there’s nothing g supernatural about it. Kathy Bates come through with a top five career best performances. Part “who dunnit,” part psychological drama, all fantastic filmmaking.

Very hard and uncomfortable watch. If you could relate to anything in this then I’m sure it’d be very emotional.
As it stands for me it was perfectly good, though not particularly enjoyable.

The old rich lady was kick-ass, and the bad cop guy was sooooo unlikable holy shit

I really enjoyed this film, it was close enough to the novel that it didn’t feel like a completely different story. Some elements had been changed, not all for the better, but on the whole a good film.
