Do the Right Thing

The most important film in history. My dad told me stories of what happened when this movie came out and I couldn't believe it. For as many racists that hated the film, he said there was also a lot of unity between races, or at least in his neighborhood. Spike Lee is 1 of the 🐐s

Did Mookie do the right thing? You’d think the film is just a hot summer, feel good based in late 80s Bed-Stuy New York, but no. It progresses into a critical two options in the fight for civil rights and social justice. The MLK v. X dilemma. A must watch Spike Lee film 🎥

Bad movie that makes Italians, blacks, and Asians all look racist. Worst of all, they make you read quotes at the end. What’s the point? Dead beat dads are the good guys. Be annoying, die, and become a hero. Serve the cops pizza and get your place burned to the ground. Capisci?

It definitely had interesting topics and themes with some good jokes but the ending really pissed me off and the main character is not that likable.

9/10: A really deep and interesting movie about prejudice, violence, and community. The acting and music are phenomenal but the ending drags a bit

This is a very well written movie with great themes, performances and cinematography.
