Did Mookie do the right thing? You’d think the film is just a hot summer, feel good based in late 80s Bed-Stuy New York, but no. It progresses into a critical two options in the fight for civil rights and social justice. The MLK v. X dilemma. A must watch Spike Lee film 🎥

Watched this for a class, everything about the movie is great. As a first generation American, although I do consider myself an AA I grew up in an African household so seeing authentic African American culture like this has always been fascinating for me.

This movie was very interesting. I liked it, the overall message was good and so were the characters. I think the story is lacking and maybe they go too far in terms of displaying the opposite of what the proper reaction to certain racial and bigoted things are, but it’s purpose is still there and properly shown.

My score: 7.5/10

so good. such a fun movie until it’s not. this movie sadly could’ve been made today. excellent shots and story telling. spike is the best.
