Dial M for Murder Reviews

I genuinely just spent 35 minutes talking with chatgpt to understand the shit that happened with the keys at the third act.
Turns out hitchcock had many off-screen shots to make the audience "think", esp in this film.
Kinda proud that I caught them 🤓. Interesting script.

Delightfully complex and well thought out. RM and JW have stand out performances. Can you blame him?

I just love old movie and of course films made by the master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock.
This is a premise I have never seen in a film before. It’s like a murder mystery but still not.
Also try to look after Hitchcocks cameo wish is pretty unique from all his other ones.

this was goooood

An excellent thriller so well written, with an exquisite direction, just for the cast to perform amazingly.

À voir en 3D (il l’a tourné en 3D en 1954)

A classic

Loved the mystery. Used my brain to try and follow along!

at least when women try and kill their husbands, they have more of a reason than “i’m a washed up old tennis player, and i don’t know why she cheated on me with someone that actually respects her” 8/10

It all moves along in a rather efficient if lifeless fashion, with only John Williams shining as a canny police detective.

11/23

Very solid Hitchcock flick. My enjoyment levels are biased against stories revolving around infidelity, so that holds it back, but the story is interesting as a whole, and the tension is as expertly executed as you'd expect from the Master. Grace Kelly is always a major plus.

I was confused and wanted it to go faster, but it was still interesting

Very smart thriller that unfolds like a stage play.
