If you enjoy movies where there are abrupt music note drops every 1-2 minutes this is the movie for you.

This movie is also very predictable in who lives and dies and it’s so obvious from the very start. I don’t know why horror movies have to create these characters who are totally clueless and have no idea what to do in situations like this. Safety 101 but they kept going back into the water for some reason. I would’ve just said nope and went back home. [3.5/10]

I didn’t hate it but like it was good for what it was. Lana condors character stressed me out and I also wish I got more info about what happens at the end after the cave

This movie sucks.
I’m not expecting anything special from a shark movie but this was especially bad.

Really none of the characters were likable.
I was honestly rooting for the shark.

The sets are pretty cool and the premise is simple.

Couldn’t wait for this to be over.

The movie started grounded but slowly got more absurd as the writers learned you can only do so much with people and a shark in a confined space.

The reactions to their friends dying were pretty funny.

I’ll say that I had higher expectations for this. it wasn’t boring, but it wasn’t rlly special. It didn’t stand out to me. The whole movie was very repetitive and was made out to be like there’s gonna be some kind of twist, but there wasn’t it was just fighting against a shark.

It’s a fun survival shark thriller with a tense cave setting, claustrophobic atmosphere, and genuinely suspenseful moments. While the story isn’t very original and the characters can be frustrating at times, it’s still an entertaining watch for horror and creature feature fans.

I don’t expect mud from shark movies but this one was dumber than usual. Bad acting. Stupid characters. Bad effects. I have seen syfy put out better stuff. Newton could not save it. Her character was also all over the place the place. Poor writing. And the magic on off flippers.

the overarching storyline of this movie was terrifying, a free roaming violent and vicious shark in an inclosed cavern basically hunting poor explorers? fucking terrifying. the execution though was fucking terrible, the acting was mid and the progression was laughable 😭😭😭

Absurd but fun.
A group of college friends travel to Thailand to explore an underwater cave system known as Devil's Mouth. They manage to convince their guide to let them swim a more dangerous route, but something unexpected is prowling the ecosystem.

Yet another shark film on Amazon, the undisputed home of shark flicks. I didn't mind Devil's Mouth at all; the good definitely outweighs the bad.

On the debit side, some of the dialogue is very corny. They speak to each other in a way that just isn't natural. Almost every line is delivered from the heart, with all the sincerity of a TV advert about lift-and-rise chairs. You also know the order of death; it's signposted from the start.

Writers are definitely overusing the schtick of bull sharks being able to exist in both fresh and salt water. It's becoming a lazy get-out clause. How long until they begin terrorising people in the Thames?

However, I still think the good outweighs the bad. I just enjoyed it. It doesn't take itself too seriously, we get a couple of jump scares, and they're sensible with how much they show of old Bully. It doesn't lag, the pacing is good, and you don't have to wait long before Bully makes an appearance.

The most significant thing about this movie is just how good it looks. I think this is one of the best-looking shark films I've seen in terms of the locations, lighting, and the shots inside the cave. You never feel as though you're straining to see what's happening. The sound design is also strong; it never feels muddled.

The film delivers definite atmosphere. The cave feels claustrophobic, and I think the cast do a fine job. Kathryn Newton anchors the film well, Sara develops nicely, and Lana Condor comes across as likeable, even if Max is exhausting.

7/10 I always enjoy a good shark movie and Kathryn and Lana were amazing as per usual. I really liked the character of Sara and the fact it was a bull shark instead of the usual great white shark.

Wanted more from this movie because of the cast but it was so bad and extremely unrealistic (even though shark movies usually are). I’ll give it points for being set in an underwater cave though cause that’s always cool. Probably won’t watch again.
