This is definitely one of the best Conan movies in recent years. It’s still using the Conan movie formula, so it’s not as refreshing as 隻眼の殘像, but it’s more than perfect for a classic Conan cinematic case. The action sequences are fluid and exciting, the art all beautifully drawn (especially the background arts!) and there are some touching character moments throughout the film. I especially like when Conan holds the rebel group leaders hand and lowers her gun. You’re instantly reminded what kind of person 工藤新一 is.
This will definitely be on my list of favorite Conan movies.
