I was in high school when this came out, a period where fashion looked like a rainbow barfed all over everyone. I wore black and shopped in thrift and army surplus stores. I loved this movie and Madonna’s fashion because it validated my weirdness. I’ll forever love this movie 🥰

I don’t dislike it

Even though I hate cheating I feel like Roberta and Gary were already so detached from each other it didn’t feel like cheating???
Also it’s funny how Madonna and Roberta are on the cover but they have barely any scenes together

This is visually satisfying but the plot is kind of dumb. Watch it for the styles. And really, no one else used Madonna’s limited acting skills any better than this. (“Just be yourself,” probably.)

entertaining, absolutely love that roberta left her husband because he was a dull dull man who didn’t see her like yes girl

Man the 80s were cool as fuck

dez is the sweetest he is SO cute

A pretty solid premise but executed incredibly poorly. A lot of people look to this as some kind of 80s culture icon, but Clueless did it better in the 90s (for comparison). This one is way overhyped.

Madonna being Madonna. Fun 80s movie. Great chemistry between characters.
