that actor was too good at playing a creepy guy… (edit because i just found out: WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE’S THE OLD MAN FROM HOME ALONE?!?)

i thought it would be a lot more explicit in terms of nudity and kills but it was relatively tame compared to other movies

i have to admit though, im not really a true crime fanatic so i had never read or looked up the crimes of ed gein. so i decided to do that after the credits rolled and those bits i read were much much more disturbing than this entire movie…

Before Texas Chainsaw Massacre, before Ryan Murphy’s latest problematic serial killer turned weird internet heartthrob, there was this 70s take on Ed Gein. Names and locations are changed, but you can tell it's Gein almost immediately. Too bad it wasn't very creepy or disgusting.

Based on Ed Gein, yet some people are upset it’s not just an Ed Gein movie? I don’t know. But whatever, there’s still enough to enjoy here. A super creepy reveal scene (when the waitress realizes what’s happening), and some genuine low budget creepiness.
