Heartwrenching horrible story I thought this was a fun murder mystery it was not!! Movie night vibe killed!!
Takes you for a ride but left me devastated not satisfied. The bleak narration, poor editing, and overall no reason for making this documentary left a poignant bad taste.

this film destroyed me. to think that this family has dealt with the most heinous of crimes not once but twice and still managed to help others and even grow a whole new family...

One of the most heart wrenching stories I’ve ever watched. This should come with major trigger warnings. Expect to be audibly sobbing while simultaneously being shocked to silence at the twists and turns. Brilliantly made. Highly recommend. Would suggest tissues.

This has just confirmed my dislike of Lifetime true crime movies. THIS is how you make a movie about a devastating crime while keeping it respectful, heartfelt, and still entertaining. You can definitely guess what’s happening next but that doesn’t take away from the sadness.

Made me want to cry and hug my kid. A horrific, rage & tear inducing true story that’ll keep you up and stain your memory. Definitely watch the 15-minute follow-up short film on YouTube after!

Dear Zachary absolutely wrecked me. What begins as a loving tribute from a filmmaker to his murdered friend becomes something far more heartbreaking than I ever expected.

The personal videos, interviews, and memories make you feel like you actually get to know Andrew and the people who loved him. His parents especially stayed with me. Their strength in the face of unimaginable loss is both inspiring and devastating.

This is an incredibly powerful documentary, but it is not an easy watch. I felt angry, heartbroken, and frustrated by the failures that allowed this tragedy to become even worse. It’s one of the most emotionally devastating true-crime documentaries I’ve seen, and one I won’t forget anytime soon.
