Damn good watch

I enjoyed my time. Bill Skarsgard is great, I adore him. Nice seeing Dacre here too cause i always I liked him but never saw him in anything outside of stranger things.

As for Al fucking Pacino

My eyes are seeing thick Italian accented man doing a southern accent.

Now as for real life situation. Tony was ill for sure but like he never was going to kill Richard he was inherently a good man just got fucked with to the point of breaking and dealt with it in the way he saw fit.

What a bonkers story, can’t believe this happened irl.

Story flowed great, acting was great, vibe was great, overall a great flick.

7.6 - If you like true crime dramatizations, and don’t mind watching them unfold slowly, it’s a decent watch for under two hours.

Bill Skarsgard is exceptional. Appreciate seeing him in a more dramatic (& slightly dark comedic) role & expanding his range. Dacre Montgomery is solid too as the victim, & it’s nice to see him working on bigger projects post Stranger Things. Visually, they absolutely nailed the 70s vibes, as well.

I do wish they would have given more background & more context on the inciting incidents, & expanded the backstories of a few of the support characters like Al Pacino’s M.L. Hall & Colman Domingo’s Fred Temple. I’m not sure if there’s much more to even tell of their sides, but to have those two in your movie with this minimal screen time felt like a bit of a disservice.

Overall, I’m aware there’s not a ton that’s particularly special about this, I just think I’m the person I described at the top - I just like true crime dramatizations & don’t mind if they’re a little slow burning.

okay so can someone please ask mr. gus what exactly he thinks people in central indiana sound like? cause… nobody wants to commit to portraying indiana well on screen because it’s a flyover state. there is still definitive culture here! let’s research, mama!

I saw a little bit of Pennywise in Tony a couple of times throughout the film.

An interesting film with greats performances, specially Bill Skarsgård, and with a story based on real events. The setting and environment are truly in the seventies. Good movie.

With such a stacked cast, you expect something good…and it is. It’s definitely a slow burn and there’s no major action but it captures the era brilliantly and delivers an interesting take on a bizarre true crime. Skarsgard and Montgomery are great at keeping you engaged.

Awesome acting, just not for me (Need more of Bill asap)

Soulful music alongside great set design really transports you into that time period. Fantastic editing. Colman Domingo stole the show, as he always does. Was pretty familiar with the story but still had a lot of fun.

A well crafted and well acted film with a good atmosphere, excellent music, and a story that never gets boring. #40

A great and thrilling crime film anchored by a career best performance from Bill Skarsgard. A must watch

Very shocked I loved this movie cause this is not at all my normal taste or style but I was pleasantly surprised I was glued to the screen the entire time. I do love Bill Skårsgard so I guess it’s not too shocking that I love this film

Great start, but it gets more boring as it goes along.

Longer than it needs to be

There was so much bloat in this movie that could have easily been shaved off to fix its pacing issues.

For example: there was the odd subplot about a reporter that never went anywhere nor resolved itself by the end.

Bill Skarsgard and Coleman Domingo do a fantastic job.

it’s interesting and different in the way they filmed it. (5.5/10)
