6.8 - I feel like I missed something. Like there’s one piece of this puzzle that I just completely lost & now can’t see the whole picture. The mystery unravels slowly, but the journey is most of the fun. There’s moments of genuine suspense, & moments of utter disgust & confusion. Hunter Schafer is a fantastic lead & I’m ready for her breakout. Dan Stevens is having a hell of a year playing whacky villains too. But it didnt all click for me. Might try to snag a 2nd watch before it leaves theaters to see if there’s something more.

Ngl I would do some really nasty stuff with that woman, but the wig HAS to be on. I believe on a second watch I will rate it higher.

from the critic scores (it was like 60%?) i expected this to be horrible, and you know what, i always appreciate having low expectations bcos this shit hit it out of the park for me. fucking terrifying. and had a pretty decent story i think, even if it begs a second watch. + staring at hunter schafer the whole time didnt hurt either… #1 celebrity crush right there 😭

It was strange at its finest. You’ll be completely invested in how the mystery unfolds. I was absolutely flabbergasted by the climax—and yes, it was strange in the best possible way.

Fun and creepy! A very enjoyable watch that has a great pace and keeps you interested!

one of the best psychological thrillers i’ve ever seen. the cinematography was absolutely outstanding and even when you feel you understand, there’s always another twist. also seeing Hunter Schafer covered in blood with a butterfly knife between her teeth was definitely a bonus

This was killer. Intense with great acting. We definitely need more horror with Hunter Schafer

I actually was enjoying the first 1/3 of the movie but it falls apart pretty quickly with bad acting, flat characters, and an overall bad execution of what they went for. Though there were some shines of creativity in this film, it fell pretty short 6/10

Trust the commenters saying this is a confusing watch. Plot is weird & jumbled. I loved the sleepy German Alpine forest Resort vibe, and I definitely jumped a few times and was scared. I liked the monster design. I didn’t like the high pitch screaming, covered my ears a lot.

Lowkey didn’t understand it but Hunter Schafer was great and it was pretty scary

I agree with much of the reviews here, the movie was great with camera work and acting, but it still left me with a lot of questions. On the other hand I liked the “preservation vs erradication” debate.

This was a wild ride. It was very cryptic and honestly could have explained things just a little better, but it still really nailed that creepy, unsettling aesthetic and provided a nice little mystery to boot.

My grandma told me never to get on an elevator with a man named Todd, and after watching this I’m starting to think she was onto something
