Guillermo del Toro’s first feature film, Cronos, is an absolute beauty. The storytelling, composition, cinematography, and characters all make this a unique experience.

It was also fun to see Ron Perlman (Hellboy) speaking Spanish 😂. One thing that defines del Toro’s style is his use of surreal characters, strange situations, and moments that can sometimes become grotesque while still being part of his dark fantasy world.

The film also uses dark humor very effectively, creating a balance between horror, mystery, and fantasy. Cronos is definitely a must-watch for anyone who enjoys stories filled with mystery, unusual creatures, and a unique visual style.

The premise was unique, however it almost seemed like it was a vampire film without really being a vampire film. Unfortunately I was mostly bored with this film because it tends to drag in several places. At least I learned how Ron Perlman got the Hellboy gig.

A truly incredible movie! Really loved the characters and how we see them develop through the movie.

This was pretty good but I honestly thought it dragged near the end. Still a good debut film for Del Toro.

This was actually weird and kind of like a different spin on a vampire film mixed in with a touch of "The Fly" body horror.
