It wasnt a bad movie, and I love movies about water warfare but its so impractical. Im no military commander but I know that something like that would never happen and a captain would never act this unrational.

It was alright, music was great thanks to Mr. Hans Zimmer!!!

very thought provoking actually and super interesting and raises so many questions and not a bad acting scene in this entire movie actually

Cliche 90s rah rah USA movie. It was fun watching the Ramsey vs Hunter conflict and the themes they represent. The action was kept high, no low points.

very solid 90s film with young denzel.

i appreciated the leadership he had to do the right thing while the captain wanted to start a nuclear war. some great tensions throughout the film which kept me intrigued and locked in.

a simple enough premise, but, fuelled by hackman and washingtons bravado, finds incredible depth

taut and smartly written, this is a well spent 2 hours

Pulse-pounding thriller elevated by two powerhouse performers. The beginning is a bit derivative, but the last hour is exhilarating, with thrills and intrigue mounting to an explosive finale. Plenty of cool shots as well, and a glorious Hans Zimmer score.

Disappointed in Aragorn

I jut had to watch it again! I had forgotten how many good actors were in this. I really miss Tony Scott’s films he does such a great job of showing action and building tension! I’ve never been so anxious for a radio to work! This is just a top notch film!

i will say my appreciation for this movie may mainly come in the form of baby denzel and hans zimmer

So balanced, calculated and unsolvable. Legendary scenario. Washington and Hackman are brilliant. Tense and relentless. Great supporting.

Great movie despite its age but it looked fairly good

The Hunt for Red October with a dash of The Rock. It’s tense and exciting. Solid performances from Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman and a very good score

Great 90’s US submarine movie, visuals were great and the plot on the nuclear submarine makes it very interesting and entertaining
