felt really different at the time. it's nasty, grimey, and more than a bit messed up

The first half was okay, but after it was revealed that the killer was some mutant thing, it just lost me. Also the main character was infuriating, idk if it was part of her character but it just annoyed me. The very last minutes were cool and like introspective, but that’s it.

I would rate this a 6/10. After time went on I was ready for the movie to end. Kind of repetitive

The subtle social commentary clicked just when I thought the film had no underlying message, not that it needed one. Typical 2000’s horror fare with a mysterious antagonist & set-pieces that make you wonder… What happened here? Akin to House of Wax, Wrong Turn, etc.
