Major Brokeback Mountain Vibes. Good representation, a little boring, but I think that’s just cause I’m mostly into action/fantasy movies. Incredibly relatable for me, a trans man. The dad is just a little too close to my real father. Lmao

touching, beautiful, not like a tear jerker for me but like really meaningful. good sound track that perfectly matches the vibe of a “modern” cowboy story without being heavy handed. the ending scene really made me smile.

This was such a loving story, i know for sure this movie was done with a lot of love and kindness, they embraced everyone, people grow, people have flaws but in the end of the day is about learning from our mistakes and having self awareness of them

The pacing is a bit slow and can be boring for a lot of people. But if you stick with it I think you'll find an emotional story with good performances from Steve Zahn and Sasha Knight. As someone who is trans, it hits doubly hard. Great representation of Trans Youth.

i can live happy with this ending... seriously tho i'm sobbing like every dynamic of this movie was so beautiful.

this was a really good watch. i liked how it depicted the struggle of trans youth in a small town as well as the struggle of mental illness in a small town. i loved that sally came to understand joe in the end. the trans character is played by an actual trans actor, too. lovely!
