Beautiful yet tragic story with characters that Tim Burton’s unique style makes so easy to adore. Also one of my favorite scores of all time.

my toxic trait is that i dont like any tim burton movies

"Can a heart still break once it's stopped beating?" The juxtaposition between the living and the dead had me in absolute reverie. That, as well as the stop-motion animation too, of course. From the Burtonesque aesthetics, colours, characters, and designs to the comforting music, voice acting, humour, references, and dialogue, 20 years on, and it all still feels very much alive. Sacrifice, grief, love, identity, trauma, freedom... if it wasn't for the messy conclusion, I would have rated it even higher.

It was good. The pacing held up, visuals were sharp, and the performances felt authentic. Some scenes dragged, but overall, it left a strong impression.

Tim Burton Movies” it’s the most tragic Halloween film so don’t go in expecting a comedy or a light hearted story, some horror elements too 🥀💀💍
