One of the greatest films I’ve ever seen. A technical masterpiece with some great themes and a fantastic story. The apartment sequence is one of the greatest scenes in film history. I will be rewatching this one soon

This film serves as a criticism of commercial studio system but also is an intimate drama about a drifting marriage. Very meta and funny at times.

very french, I liked the brechtian style things they did, quite meta at some points
