way better than i expected. story telling is great, thrilling, & dark. cinematography is very beautiful, loved the soundtrack & sound design. the eye vfx blew my mind. great vfx overall, felt very realistic and authentic. the cast was perfect, loved the chemistry between sophie & jack. definitely recommend watching it in theaters, a hell of a ride. so many low budget small production bangers recently. 9 / 10

This is one of those movies that you will love if you don’t know the twist. If you do, it’s still fun, but less enjoyable of a love. So go in blind if you can. There’s so many little hints as to what’s going on that when it’s finally revealed, the foreshadowing is so rewarding.

The film is a modern allegory of control, exploring some great themes with some cool kills and neat twists. The characters all felt realistic. I can’t say more without spoiling things so just watch it. It’s great.

A light mix of 'Ex Machina', 'Lucy', 'M3gan', 'Get Out', and last year's 'Subservience'. Fortunately, it takes the best robot clichés and feels constantly changing and realistically grounded, even if one of the characters attempts a 'T1000'. Unfortunately, it gives itself away far too soon and seems to depend on fleshing out a few plot points for the 10% intelligence-level audience. Thatcher's performance was 'Black Mirror', until those moments of hit and sink explanation. As annoying as the rest of the cast/characters are, they were all people I could regretfully recall from reality. Overall, better than a few, but not by a lot.

This movie haunted me in a good way. The film suggests that perhaps the greatest fear isn't that AI will become too much like us, but that in defining and controlling them, we reveal the darkest aspects of our own nature :(

Regardless i heavily fucked w this movie. Reminded me a lot of DBH, which I love. The soundtrack was amazing & Sophie Thatcher (my wife btw) is so so talented.

Companion is an intriguing, multi-layered film that keeps you guessing until the very end, proving that even in a world full of programmed emotions, there’s still room for rebellion and self-determination.

Feels like a long Black Mirror episode. Not a good movie to watch with a partner. Surprisingly fun.

I'm writing this for the badge but I think it's a nice movie although with a scaring sense of realism in regards how AI bots/companions can and most definitely will be used in the future. That goes for many aspects of it aka the modding, harmful usage and perverted violence......

Fun movie that doesn't take itself too seriously with it's set-up and doesn't overstay it's welcome with it's run time. Most characters were likable and the chemistry between the actors and actresses was very present even for the minor side interactions of some of the scenes....
