Cold Storage
Surprisingly fun, quick flick. I'm not a fan of zombie films. That said, I still anxiously enjoyed both the horror and comedy aspects of this. The casting was brilliant, as was the production, both cgi and practical. It's mostly small-scale, but that's why it works so well. As for the story, it's over-the-top and nonsensical, but the pacing held my attention, and in the end, it all felt worthwhile. All in all, it doesn't take itself too seriously but doesn't throw it all away, either. Although, the end-credit scene wasn't necessary at all.

This was more fun than I thought it’d be. Never expected much out of it based off of the trailer, honestly just went to see it because Joe Keery and Liam Neeson 😂
Well paced movie, basically set in one location which is always a cool setup for a film. Keery was great in it, classic quips from him and then him bouncing off Georgina Campbell worked. They were a good duo in this.
Liam is always great no matter what he’s in and this was a small role but he fit it perfectly. More funny than anything else honestly, as he wasn’t in it too much. But I feel like the role only worked because it was him playing it. Anyone else and it would’ve been a throwaway character or just a basic army dude that I wouldn’t care about.
Wasn’t scary by any means but it was definitely weird and creepy which I was all in for. Felt like The Gorge as far as the virus and the way that people just quickly turned into something else entirely within a matter of minutes.
If you like 90min thrillers with some suspense/humor and/or love Liam Neeson/Joe Keery, I’d say this would be right up your alley. Definitely gonna watch this again once it hits streaming, it’s one of those films that’ll scratch the “weird and fun” film itch that I have every now and then 😂🔥
P.s - my whole theater laughed out loud at the Covid line, funniest moment in the entire movie by far but there were quite a few quick hilarious moments 👏🏻

You know if they had just made the fungus pink this could have been a blob sequel like just a story about one of their attempts they forgot about or lost
Fuck it my head canon is this is still a blob sequel
The cgi sucks but the practicals are great, its a fun movie

This was a rockin good time. Gross, funny, decently acted. Takes a while to hit proper zombie goodness but the build up is worth the payoff. Definitely check it out 🤘

We got left 4 dead boomer in a movie! 🤮💥 Good "easy brain off" kind of movie, the story is simple but good. Casting and acting is excellent! Perfect for when you just want a simple dumb (in a good way) movie!

a little derivative and a bit too overly reliant on cgi but i didn’t mind it overall
it had some cool kills and the characters were nice to follow, it had some funny moments too
could’ve gone farther with the premise but i enjoyed myself

This was more fun than I thought it was gonna be. Had me from the get go and I was entirely entertained throughout. It’s a great (not) zombie flick!

Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t go in expecting wonders - but wow, this was really, really bad.
I actually thought the opening scene was from an “in-film, intentionally bad movie” - it wasn’t, it was just the actual beginning of the movie…. On a whole it’s just dumb and entirely devoid of any logic and reason. Characters continually make just the most senseless decisions, cracking unfunny jokes despite the film otherwise attempting to set-up huge, world-ending stakes.
Joe Keery and Georgia Campbell ARE actually pretty good here and are the sole reason to watch. Liam Neeson and Lesley Manville don’t give a shit - they came for their cash and went.
It’s a whole load of nothing; shabby script, poor effects, middling performances. The main takeaway is how good Joe Keery looks with blonde highlights. Chris Pratt’s AI movie was better than this…

A fun zombie comedy that wasn't overly funny and goofy.
This was a well thought out zombie film that let you know the kind of film it was going to be from the get go.
Joe Keery, Liam Neeson, and Georgina Campbell were all great. I mainly went for Joe Keery though. Love Steve.

An easy, fun, infection movie that doesn’t really do anything very ambitious but keeps you entertained throughout

Cold Storage
A Horror Comedy not as infectiously funny or scary as what is contained.
However, likable characters and gnarly gore spread the (fun)gus around for a few explosive surprises.

second 8.7 movie tonight! Once again just on the line for a 9 for me, the acting was phenomenal and so is the plot line! there were just some sillier parts that kept it away from a 9, but overall a very fun movie and a interesting new take on a zombie/fungus virus

Cold Storage is the perfect reminder that horror doesn’t always have to take itself too seriously to be ridiculously entertaining. It’s creepy, chaotic, funny, gross in all the right ways, and completely aware of the kind of movie it wants to be.
Without giving anything away, the concept is wild enough to hook you from the beginning, but it’s the combination of suspense, dark humor, and increasingly outrageous situations that makes it such a fun watch. Just when you think things couldn’t possibly get worse—or weirder—the movie basically says, “Oh, you have no idea.”
What I enjoyed most was that it never felt like it was trying too hard to be profound. Sometimes you just want a movie that gives you a crazy premise, likable characters, some genuinely tense moments, and enough madness to keep you entertained until the end. Cold Storage delivers exactly that.
Fun, bizarre, disgusting, suspenseful, and surprisingly hilarious. If you like horror with a little comedy mixed into the chaos, this one is absolutely worth watching.
