One of those films that brings to mind or shows how wonderful and important the work of the EMT is.

Whoever labeled this as a comedy is a fiend.

This made me wanna punch a fool and cry a little.

Debated watching this, but I'm so glad I did. It had me laughing, sobbing, worrying, and smiling—all the emotions all at the same time. As morbid as the context might be, I think it definitely counts as a must-watch for some people. I learnt a little about the healthcare industry as a whole and on the ground floor. The directing, writing, and acting were handled so brilliantly, especially when it came to balancing dark humour with absolute seriousness. Short but sharp performances with quick-witted and smart one-liners. It's unbelievable how undervalued paramedics are. "Yeah, the system is still broken, but what am I supposed to do, quit trying?"

This starts with a pretty justifiably cynical attitude about the state of American healthcare which sets up this gallows level humor. It’s pretty intense due to how innately real and devastating the situations can feel, but it’s also quite surprising how this movie continues to…

dark dramedy, it's alright... I was laughing and then when the serious scene happens, it leaves me in a state of "What the fuck?" because it really be like what the fuck....you know?

Do not watch this if you’re not in a good place.

Some of the most bleak, dark and heartbreaking shit I’ve ever watched. But also it’s really important.

Well, I did it for 25 years and now I work in an ER as an RN and I wish every day I can go back on the road… There’s nothing like it! But things have changed so much and they get paid so little it’s a shame…!!! Although this wasn’t completely realistic to my experience, but if I could go back to when I started, and it was like that, I would do it all over again!

I don’t think I’m the biggest fan of the ending, but it doesn’t ruin the rest of it so I would still 100% recommend you watch it

Raw, that's the best way to describe this movie. From the narration to the message it was entertaining to watch. Funny as hell. An excellent review of what's wrong with the system.

very fun. accurate of ems. a little on the nose and might villainize everyone in healthcare/first response besides paramedics, but it’s a movie. it’s making a point about paramedics, and i’d say it’s trying to show what the worst of the worst looks like otherwise.

10/10 this movie is more than just a comedy. i was not prepared for how deep and emotional it was. be prepared to cry. ems truly does not get paid enough

This movie is a wrecking-ball!
I knew nothing of it till I saw it pop up on Hulu. Marketing definitely messed up there.
So I was shocked at how good this movie actually is! There’s so many emotions oh my god it’s so much more than just another comedy. I was expecting just jokes but it gets real deep. The cast is so great too, each one of the main cast funny and serious as hell! We got a great movie already this year.

Also “I smell dead people” is the wildest and funniest line I’ve heard in awhile.

Movie surprised me with how good it was and did 4th wall breaking in a way that still felt natural and didn’t ruin the atmosphere it built.

Really shows how it sucks to be an EMT. Offers an engaging look at paramedic life by leaning into its chaos, dark humor, & emotional fatigue. What stands out is its honesty: no glossy hero worship, just people breaking, coping, & trying to hold themselves together.

It may not be a great film technically, and it may not have a great script, but it is definitely one of my films of the year. It takes such a humorous jab at the system that I can only say: bravo!

Definitely a good watch.. I cried, laughed, got very emotional at times. But knowing what ems and paramedics go through this is the most realistic movies of how it is out in the field

As a Paramedic this hits real close to home. You can tell they had some real street level consultants. It’s a bare naked look into how awful EMS can be while handling the subject with the same dark humor that most of us develop.
