Had to watch this for my film class. The movie isn’t something I would ever actually watch. I was kinda bored. But! Clockers raises questions about the particular burden placed on Black films to be judged according to whether their images seem socially accurate, responsible, or “real.”

Jacob Hall is "meh" on

Probably my least favorite Spike joint I've seen so far. I didn't really connect with any of the characters, and it made no sense to have a detective who cared so much about this individual case be a racist. "He's one of the good ones" wtf?

I thought this was gonna be a generic hood movie but it had some good twists and the ending was hopeful
