7/10 Good story and cast. Better than expected and only recently was aware of this film (seems to have slipped under the radar). Worth a watch.

It was a little confusing but it wasn’t slow and it was short which was nice. Just make sure to pay attention if you watch it because there are a lot of twists and turns.

Great story with great actors. This is one’s of those hidden gems from Samuel L. Jackson for sure. If you like a good crime movie give this one a shot. It won’t disappoint

I was loving this movie for about 2/3rds of the runtime, and then the predictable, unearned, and ham fisted final act reminds me of why this movie was direct to dvd 😭 a waste of a pretty good Jackson performance

4.7 - Overall, this honestly feels like a waste of a really solid cast. Rarely does a movie feel simultaneously 15 minutes too long & an hour too short.
The core mystery is really strong when it’s introduced and Samuel L. Jackson’s neurotic (OCD?), traumatized, single father, former cop is a super fascinating character just by the description. Honestly, his scenes grappling with his and his daughter (Keke Palmer’s) shared struggles were actually pretty moving.
But a shallow, underdeveloped, & at times messy script, an incredibly rushed final two acts, & a string of half-baked events that mostly telegraph every turn about five minutes before they play out on screen all make this not much more than “streaming serviceable” at best.
This was a fine one-time Netflix watch when looking for something short, but I know there’s near infinite better choices out there in the crime genre.

Predictable, Cliche at times, boring even when you can feel the concept being stretched to fit its runtime.
Creative shots and a nice message do their very best to save this ok film.

The first half of this was something and then the second half was just 🤦🏾♀️. Why is it always such a dramatic moment when it’s revealed that a man had a Vasectomy?
