Even tough I wish it was knockoutned who ended lil dice, the fact that it was kids was genius because he started being a killer when he was a child then he stopped being because kids killed him. He got it coming, he’s a monster who lost his only friend because of his arrogance.

Phenomenal storytelling!!! I can’t stress enough how good this movie is.

– Craziest sequence of events
– Lil Dice started killing as a kid, then gets popped by kids is crazy irony
– Rocket’s POV was really interesting
– Knockout Ned dying to Otto was wild, especially with that backstory
– Wasn’t expecting it to be that good overall

Tough watch, makes you grateful for your childhood. Each characters journey you experience w them. Specifically the montages & chronological sequence adds to the depth & immersion. Behind the scenes drama & a tv show add more but weren’t necessary

City of God delivers a bruising, visceral experience of the vicious spiral of violence that draws kids into a life of crime, brutality and murder as the only avenue open to them.

The portrayal of life in impoverished areas was so good. I like how they still show that these are kids at the end of the day and don’t try to demonize them b/c of the decisions they make. I even felt bad for lil z at times and boy did he get on my nerves.

One of the best films I never watch to watch again. Very well made.

Good movie. Creatively shot. No complaints, but it’s not remarkable beyond that to me.
