unusual story that has no reason to be so devastating :( nic cage is so adorable and lovable in this movie, his acting makes my heart ache

Didn’t love the two main characters but the story itself was interesting and quite beautiful

- This movie had a sweet view of it, but choosing human life over eternity of Gods love is insane
- The angels that did fall in the bible did it to rebel against God (Ik in the movie he did it for love, but still)
- True love never requires walking away from God to find it

This film is about choice. About what you can give up eternity for. For a touch. For an apple. For love that can last for a moment, but be more important than eternity. And it doesn't look naive, although it sounds like it. The film left a warm sadness in my chest. A good sadness
