Cinema Paradiso Reviews

The story is drawn from the director Giuseppe Tornatore's childhood memories, presented here as a series of loosely-linked episodes commemorating the importance of movies -- of art -- in the lives of people forced to manage on very little.

Everything just clicks in this movie: the drama, the comedy, the romance... the story, the chemistry between Toto and Alfredo, the wave of nostalgia, the incredible soundtrack, and that ending, so beautiful and emotional you’re not even sure if it’s happy or sad. Just pure cinema

Estoy llorando

Beautiful film- directors cut
Bellisimo

One of the most beautiful emotional movies I’ve ever seen in my life. I thought Italian movies weren’t good enough, but this movie changed everything. The story is amazing, and honestly, I have to applaud the director for choosing the characters.

Alfredo and Toto were amazing

A beautiful film about the love of cinema and how a place preserves memories. It showed how one place has a different impact in different stages of life. The score was incredible and really amplified the emotions of the movie. It had humor, romance, and cruel reality. 7.5/10

"La vida no es como en el cine. La vida, es más difícil". Mi película favorita. Un canto de amor al cine. Una obra maestra.

That last scene still hunts me to this days.

Masterpiece.
