More than the boxing itself, the story was heart wrenching. To see someone hit absolute rock bottom and become extremely humble was powerful, add some crazy boxing action and it’s fantastic. They made the villain look like an absolute menace. Russel Crowe is an amazing actor.

I didn't expect it, this is soooo good, didn't watch it before and I enjoy it very much. Russell Crowe, Paul Giamatti and Renée Zellweger are amazing here. Great box movie and at a tiem really scary.

The “wife drags Great Man down” trope is as tired as ever. Painfully conventional sports movie that treats Braddock like a saint and everyone else like a cardboard cutout. Overlong, predictable, and with a final fight that never generated any real tension. Still had fun though.

Great sports movie. I can’t believe I haven’t seen it until now. The setting of the Great Depression makes this story incredible.

Feeling bad for all the working class during the Great Depression, it was truly a tough time. Jimmy and his wife were really cute. Highlight of the film.
