The movie is sooooo messed up...! Also they didn't marry but they're in a relationship??? Please explain? I see marriage as a trustful and loving thing, not marrying means they possibly are gonna break up in the next 5 years or so. And please stop adding gay people 🙏🏼 🙏🏼🙏🏼please

I watched this movie for Nicolas Galatzine and my God I was not disappointed. He’s so fine and his voice is so good I wanted to fall over. The rest of the movie is good as well but that man.

I prefer the original animated version.

There’s something quietly subversive about this version. It takes the skeleton of the oldest story and asks: what if she knew what she wanted? What if he did too? What if the whole thing wasn’t about rescue but about two people recognizing something true in each other.

The film moves like a musical should — not as interruption but as the natural language of how these characters think and feel. The songs land because they’re chosen with real care, not just plugged in for nostalgic comfort. They say something.

What stays with you is that Cinderella isn’t waiting. She’s building. And the Prince — well, he’s not the figure from the fairy tale you thought you knew. He’s trying to figure out who he is, which makes the whole thing feel less like a coronation and more like two people choosing each other despite everything.

Is it a reinvention you need? Probably not. But it’s one that actually has something to say. Worth the time.
