The supporting cast characters are pretty great, the two leads are pretty boring

It may feel like everyone has seen some version of A Christmas Carol by now, but don’t let that stop you from curling up with Christmas Above the Clouds.

As cheesy as it may seem, this festive treat takes the classic Dickens tale and gives it a fresh, modern spin—with just the right dash of Hallmark magic. The familiar beats mean you can settle right in, but it’s the delightful characters and surprisingly heartfelt twists that make this a movie you’ll want to revisit every December.

Watching Erin Krakow kick things off as a cranky, thoughtless, and hilariously rude CEO is a joy—and absolutely not what fans might expect from her! The inventive take on the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future is charmingly ridiculous and irresistibly sweet, keeping the story feeling light while tugging at your heartstrings.

The flashbacks and moments with Jake are just as heartwarming, making you root for old connections and new beginnings. Their chemistry shines, and you can’t help but wish you could step into their snow-globe world.

In the end, Christmas Above the Clouds is hilarious, genuinely endearing, and brimming with performances that are as organic as they are memorable.

Let’s just say: I’m already hoping for a sequel in December 2026!

This was an interesting take on A Christmas Carol. I think it was a cute reimagining especially with the female Scrooge. Hallmark out there stamp on it and payed off. Tyler Hynes was hunky and adorable as always.
