I started busting out laughing during all of the scary parts. VERY outdated. I'd recommend the movie if you just want to laugh at how cringey it is. But if you are actually wanting to watch a scary movie, I wouldn't choose this one.

one of the first horror movies i watched and still freaks me out to this day. underrated.

Kids are creepy and should basically be avoided at all costs…even if you accidentally run over one. (For HR purposes, the last half of that sentence is obviously a joke and not intended to be taken seriously by anyone at any time.)

i rated this with a like purely for the (unintentional) entertainment this movie brought

acting falls through in many areas, and some unrealistic decisions broke my suspension of disbelief

still an interesting plot tho & creepy moments

One of my favorite movies! It’s a classic thrasher and I’d definitely recommend it to people new to Stephen King inspired movies or the thrasher/horror genre in general.

remember that my parents told me this was absolutely horrific and when i watched it i thought it was the funniest goddamn thing i’ve ever seen oh my god the scene where the car kids the kid is SO FAKE it’s unbelievable

Not a bad horror at all. Knew it was a classic and had to give it a watch. Cool concept but nuts in general. Ending wasn’t bad either but idk what I was expecting but definitely more. Still a good watch

remember watching this as a kid and it boost my heterophobia because why didn’t you just listen to her and GO TO THE NEXT PLACE DAMNIT lol;

the book will always be better with stephen king, but this is surprisingly a really good adaptation. yes some of the effects are cheesy, but the story is unique and creepy and the acting is really good. the only part i didn't love was the very end, but it's definitely worth it.

Isaac constitutes a sufficient source of horror a film could possibly need. Think I prefer the remake.
