If you’re going to watch this movie then go into expecting a dark comedy and not a horror film. It’s more wacky than scary.

mixed bag imo. for whatever reason, I really thought catherine hicks and chris sarandon were great together. probably my favorite thing about it. nothing was really scary, but the thought of the grown man sleeping next to the little boy was unsettling, of course. the few things I enjoyed a lot weren’t very present in the movie, and all the witchcraft and whatnot made me take it less seriously (and yes, I know it’s not meant to be in the first place). also lost me at the end when it started feeling repetitive. overall fine.
