Changeling
Whaaaat. I was upset with the ending wondering why they would leave it open like that with the theme of "hope" - especially after Mrs. Clay made it seem like Walter was found with her vague call. Until I realized it was based on the true Wineville Chicken Coop Murders in 1928, and the real Walter's fate was also unknown. It was so heartbreaking, and I love how accurate the movie was in regard to how things were in the early 1900s with women constantly being cast aside into psych wards or simply ignored entirely. How many times has this happened where another child was turned in for a missing case? The scene where the children were being killed - even if it wasn't shown - the screams and sounds were awful and my heart was pounding at each second. I could not imagine how the real Christine Collins felt being treated like she was insane by the force that swore to protect them and when Northcott pleaded for mercy and insisted he would make it into Heaven for being free of sin two years after killing all of those boys. All she wanted was her son. She was all she had and they tried to silence her. Angelina Jolie did a fantastic job as her role as Christine Collins, as always.

10/10 in its genre, 9/10 as a movie. kept me glued to the screen the whole time. Really GREAT!! Great acting too and I find it honorable to talk about these types of things that happen. Good job to everyone involved in the movie. A thought to all the kids, rest in peace 🙏🏼
