It's alright, I guess. I like the story of Old Gen vs. New Gen and the focus on Doc Hudson, especially since he magically vanished in the last movie. The problem for me was the predictability and ending. The story as a whole is unoriginal and straightforward, therefore boring, and the conclusion is very underwhelming and almost annoying. For what it's trying to convey, it works. However, for this specific world, it doesn't. All in all, Cars 2 > Cars 1 > Cars 3. Also, the lore people have created for the Cars Universe is probably the best from all of Pixar.

You see this movie is the perfect ending to a great franchise. A lot of characters had a great character arc including Natalie Certain. The visuals were great, and so were the references. Doc would be proud.

This is much better than cars 2. I don’t think it’s nearly as good as the original film, but I still think it gave the perfect ending to the character of lightning McQueen as sad as it was to see him leave his career he was so passionate about.

A friend told me this was the top cars movie in the series and I understand why. Although Cars 1 will always be my favorite, this was a perfect ending. I honestly think this movie is catered more towards older than younger generations with the coming of age plot. You got to see some old faces from the original along with a new story of newer and faster cars which is expected over a long period of time. Great movie

It’s obvious what this film is trying to do. It emphasizes passing on the torch, legacy, and the importance of mentoring and preparing the next generation. Unfortunately it was a bit of a snooze fest. I am convinced Cars is the blandest franchise to come out of Pixar.

loved the ending!

A good story about rediscovering one’s true self. It’s still pretty weak but slightly better than the second. Still a great love story for the world of automobiles. Finished the story well enough that we can all be happy.
