its definitely a different interpretation of the original while still maintaining a lot of the same storyline. i loved Angela Bettis’ performance, it was heartbreaking and raw. the ending was very interesting, it leaves things open to interpretation which i can appreciate. i’m not sure how i feel about how Mama was killed, i think we missed out on the symbolism of the crucifixion. overall, i really liked it.
