Amazing take on a classic urban legend. I guess quite a bit of people did not like the ending, but I thought it was fitting.

honestly if you didn’t like this film at all you’re probably white and should check as to why you hate it so much. otherwise though i thought it was a pretty cool spin on the classic film. the ending def fucked with my trypophobia lmao and felt a lil off. rate: 7/10

Really good love the ending

With its shadow puppetry, sophisticated reclamation of the Candyman legend and slick, confident filmmaking, even for those not thrilled by the idea of horror cinema more generally, it is hard to deny that Candyman is a massive and exciting step forward.

I don’t remember much but I remember not understanding most of the movie might rewatch 🤷‍♀️

Seems like the writers had a lot of great ideas - but none of those great ideas are given enough time to be explored when you only have 90 minutes to work with.

Entertaining and suspenseful, good but not great. Solid modern take on the story that makes it fit appropriately in today’s social landscape.

If you like movies with very understandable hidden meanings then this movie is for you!! What a amazing story about racial injustice, the shots and the artistic aspects about this film just make it beautiful, if the story didn’t blow you away I don’t know what will.

Great visually, but the morals it tries to convey are all over the place, not as strong or memorable as the original ​​​​​​​​​
