Cabaret

I haven't really gotten a hold of Fosse's style yet, but this was disappointing. Comparing it to All That Jazz as they're both a musical-ish, this was kind of bad.

Loved the display of the queer scene in Germany, but my favorite thing might have been watching the little changes in scenery elements that signaled the country’s gradual fall into fascism.

breakfast at tiffany’s meets burlesque contrasts against the grim backdrop of the rise of Naziism in 1930’s Berlin written by a queer Jewish man. i loved the story and minelli’s performances, especially maybe this time

A POV inside the life of a mismatching cuople of a cabaret female singer and a english professor, with songs and dances from the spectacular Bob Fosse. Great picture.
