Cabaret

I haven't really gotten a hold of Fosse's style yet, but this was disappointing. Comparing it to All That Jazz as they're both a musical-ish, this was kind of bad.
I wasn't very fond of the plot as it felt aimless and hollow, like nothing was happening. I also didn't care or-

Without the songs I’d have been quite bored. Too many implications, only knew what it was meant to be about due to reading about it and I still couldn’t tell what was happening. Dog died. Not happy about that.

i was very excited to see this film, even if I was a lil bit afraid that i wouldn’t love joel grey’s emcee bc i saw alan cumming first and fell in love but NO!! was completely struck with awe!! all actors play SO good, and the music numbers are placed PERFECTLY in the narrative!
