I love me a good haunted house movie, but this one didn't do much for me. Maybe nostalgia is a powerful thing because it's not much different than something like Amityville, only serviceable. At least they had balls for the end.

More than a “like,” but less than a “love.” Older vibes of course, but this one has some deep psychological scenes that only exacerbate when the whole story is finished. Some may think it’s silly, but the ending really brings it all together nicely.

It’s subtle at times with what is happening. You have to pay attention. It’s not overwrought with effects. It’s all buildup of dread, malevolence… more cerebral than visual.
