I hoped for a fun hit of nostalgia, but this spiritual sequel felt like a cheap knockoff that completely missed the magic of the 2005 original.

What Worked:
The locations look super vibrant, going from colorful Indian streets to flashy Abu Dhabi. Through my traditional lens, I really loved seeing the original duo living a quiet, retired life. Seeing them prioritize raising their son in a lawful home was a solid, pro-family setup. The upbeat score also tries hard to keep the energy bouncing.

The Cuts:
Having a Gen-Z copycat duo feels super unoriginal, so the middle part really dragged for me while setting up a weird “con-couple war.” Losing Abhishek Bachchan was a massive blow; the original husband-wife chemistry just wasn't there. The humor is also super cringe, relying on goofy, over-the-top gags that totally miss the mark.

Verdict:
An exhausting, unnecessary sequel trading the original's charm for forced jokes. Skip it and rewatch the classic.

it’s not as bad (pretty good actually) as people said it was. i had a few laughs. overall good watch
