Built by Jedi - The Making of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Rating: 8.6/10 ⭐️
I expected a standard button-masher, but the thoughtful combat and deep emotional healing themes totally caught me off guard.

What Worked:
The Metroidvania design is brilliant; unlocking areas alongside Cal’s growing abilities feels super rewarding. The orchestral score brings a gorgeous, slightly gothic texture. Through my Methodist faith lens, seeing Cal learn to actively trust the path ahead rather than control his destiny beautifully mirrored my beliefs about surrendering to grace.

The Cuts:
Backtracking on maze-like planets like Zeffo really dragged for me without fast travel. Even on PS5, late texture pop-ins and framerate stutters totally broke my immersion. Keeping it spoiler-free, navigating hard-to-reach secrets just to unlock a different colored poncho felt pretty underwhelming.

Verdict:
A solid, emotionally grounded adventure. A massive win if you love exploration, but skip if you hate backtracking.

Favorite Line: “Trust only in the Force.”
