Despite the absolutely brain dead parents, this was so insane and so fun. It’s not even just an evil Superman story, because the aspect of it being a pre-teen somehow makes it so much worse. I wanna kick this kid into the sun out of self-preservation💀 so overall a good movie lmao

Movie with some well known good actors plagued by a mediocre evil superman story with hopes that shotty cgi gore and violence would hold this film up, which I guess it mostly does considering everything else sucks about this film

10/10 Superman Horror Fan fiction. Its so good and still has some technical potential like shooting from different povs. Irl its probably a 3 stars tho but for a fanfic alt universe this is top tier

A brilliant superhero-horror mashup—a “what if Superman was a psycho?”. Basically like Homelander. Brandon’s unchecked powers justify every paranoid fear characters like Batman ever had about Superman. It’s creepy, gory, & unforgettable, a bold twist on the genre.

a great thriller, to think such as what if Superman was evil after discovering his power, the costume design of this movie deserves their own awards, i feel like there should be a sequel with a time gap, just to grasp his full power as an adult,

Stocking pillar content for my WordPress blog, I had to cover this evil-Superman concept. I like this; it’s a wild twist on the superhero origin, even if it leaves potential on the table.
The Director's Eye (What Worked):
• Dunn is super creepy, capturing that detached alien vibe.
• The practical effects rule; the diner scene is terrifying.
• Flipping the iconic farm aesthetic into a horror setting is a cool trick.
The Friction (What Didn't Click for Me):
• We barely see Brandon struggle with morality before going fully evil.
• The parents ignore massive red flags for way too long.
The Verdict:
I like it. Watch for a dark superhero twist. Skip if you need deep arcs.

Good film! Eery and creepy. Would love to see a sequel to see just how powerful he becomes.

Saw this in theatres. Just as good the 2nd time. The 1st time I saw the superhero script flipped and loved it. The Boys premiered 2 months later.. This could’ve totally been Homelander’s origin story. Also, the first time I had heard Billie Eilish.
