One of Ethan Hawke’s best performances: The film is set aside from a lot of biopics because at times it can critique them while also being one. The film admires its subject but doesn’t praise it like other biopics tend to; An intimate look at the lengths it goes to create art.

The movie is perfect for jazz lovers! The ending is quite sad. I really liked the music, the dynamics and the story. 7/10
