An absolute gut punch of real life on screen. A complete lifespan of a relationship from start to heart wrenching finale. Nothing catastrophic, except how a breakup can simply destroy you from within. Hard to watch because of how real it is.

lord if you have parents that hate eachother this is awesome

Honestly, it was a hard watch for me. It was gut wrenching. And felt a little too real. The acting is fucking incredible and it’s just so frightening to me that people can fall out of love like that. This movie has some of the most raw feelings and emotions I’ve ever seen.

Watched this one after the ravens L yesterday to complete the depressed vibe. I was so ready to leave this world at the end I was about walk my white ass around West Baltimore just to end it all. Good movie tho, time jumps are a nice touch. Gosling kinda a dick head in this one.

A very good and grounded film. It’s a great showing of a real, struggling marriage with enlightening flashbacks that make you sad at where the couple now is. The acting is superb, and Ryan Gosling plays the ukulele while wearing a Misfits shirt.

A depressing, but unaffecting Rom-Dram that keeps us at arms-length of a rocky relationship even though the camera is often too close.

I would describe this as a very moving movie that is extremely saddening. While I think this is a great film, I do not wish to watch it again.

Never been into love story’s. But this one blew my expectations out of the water. It’s almost like watching a documentary of someone’s legit family. Extremely depressing movie but so real. Never thought Ryan Gosling could pull a family man role like this but outstanding job.

Beautiful story. Sad but beautiful. I loved this movie. Dean did nothing wrong. Ryan Gosling is literally me. 7.9/10
