The names involved alone got me to watch this film, and while it is an overall enjoyable experience, the shifting tone and some minimal beat you over the head dialogue (I’m looking at you final moment ADR) keep this film from rising to the top of late 70’s memorable cinema.

Richard Pryor impressed me a lot with his performance as I always knew him just for his standup. Keitel and Kotto give very solid supporting performances as well. "They pit the lifers against the new boy; the young against the old; the black against the white" such a good quote
