This movie was so disrespectful to Marilyn and it didn't focus at all on her legacy and the greatness she was. It's important to see the real her and her real feelings that led to her suicide but this movie didn't portray that. It over sexualized and disrespected a REAL MF PERSON

Don't waste your time, it's a movie without a goal, it's almost a porn movie, and regardless, half of it is unreal

I know next to nothing about Marilyn, so I’m not gonna address the elephant in the room.
This movie is shot beautifully and I really like the audio design. But all that aside, it’s still an awful movie. Terrible pacing, nonsensical dialogue, and strange editing choices.

uncormfortable to watch but that’s what makes it so great. it’s real and raw and doesn’t sugarcoat her life. it was a pretty good movie and ana de armas was perfect for marilyn

i watched this for a school project last year and i loved the movie so much. the cinematography is amazing and the acting is beautiful. there is a lot of things that would be triggering to other people so i suggest looking up what the movie has in it before u watch.

SUCH a long movie for no reason😭😭 a lot of the dialogue tries to be “deep” without having any actual meaning or relevance :/ i tried to like it, but it’s just a painful film to watch and a waste of 2 hours. The lead actress, Ana De Armas, was really the only redeeming quality….

Ana’s acting is phenomenal but the way this movie disrespects marilyns whole legacy, is a no for me. All the producers had to do was create a movie that displays the foul lifestyle of a hollywood star, but they didnt have to tie marilyns name to this. Do not recommend watching.

People hate on this movie because they say it taints Marilyn Monroe’s name and that it’s a bad biopic. What they seemingly fail to understand is that this story is based on a fictional novel of the same name. It’s a solid story, but the spotlight is on Ana De Armas’ performance.

This is a fictional story based on a book by Joyce Carol Oates in case you’re being overly sensitive about it 🤌🏻

Much like the woman this film is about (Norma Jean), it’s extremely depressing and powerful. Ana De Armas is fantastic but at times her accent comes through ever so subtly. The main thing I enjoyed about this film is how beautiful it is. The cinematography is top notch. 7.5/10

What a piece of crap. Terribly disrespectful to THE Marilyn Monroe. I did not feel like I was watching a movie about her at all. This movie should have never been allowed to be made. Biopics should be done respectfully and truthfully.

such a beautiful heartbreaking movie. marilyn monroe went thru so much and deserves better than what she had. she deserved to have. a loving husband and children to raise. rest in peace norma jeane🕊️💕
