Blade Runner

“It’s too bad she won’t live. But then again, who does?” 👀

Loved the soundtrack ❤️‍🔥 Maybe I’ll watch it again or look up a deeper explanation of everything bc it seems like one of those movies where you miss certain details the first time around unless u know to look for them.

Blade Runner was an absolute mess. A disturbing piece of garbage that maniacs considered a movie. This was an absolute waste of my time and I wish to erase all elements of this crap movie out of my brain.

For a movie made in 1982!!! It looked AMAZING (like early 2000's type), I'll give it that.
BUT, the lack of story and character development, music, and just slow scenes completely took me our of the movie.
Like it had so much potential to be great but it just ended up being weird

Blade Runner

Enjoyed the movie. I liked the premise of it and the world building. Some of the action scenes haven’t aged well but everything else looks good. Definitely a darker sci fi, I thought the replicants (androids) were an interesting concept but sometimes it was confusing how little of a difference there was between them and the humans. Not a huge Harrison Ford guy but thought Roy was a very good villain.
I can see myself enjoying Blade Runner 2049 even more with modern effects and Ryan Gosling.

Plot:
This takes place in the dystopian future of Los Angeles in 2019. In this world, a tech company has created “replicants” which are bioengineered androids that are modeled to be exactly like humans. The only difference is that they are stronger than humans and have less capacity for emotion and they die after 4 years to prevent them from developing too strong emotions. They are shipped to off-world locations and are slaves to do hard work that would kill humans, and it is illegal for them to be on Earth. Some escape and come to Earth in attempts to leave slavery or extend their life, and there are “blade runners” like Rick Deckard (harrison ford) that find and kill rogue replicants.

Harrison ford is brought out of retirement because 4 replicants are on the loose. There is also a new replicant created by the tech CEO, a woman named Rachael who is a newer model who is implanted with memories to make her feel more real. Rachel and Deckard end up falling in love. These 4 replicants on the loose are led by Roy, the strongest and smartest of them all. Roy and the crew are trying to find their creator as they want to extend their lives. Roy ends up finding his creator (CEO of the tech company) but he tells Roy it is not possible to extend his life. Roy reacts by smashing his skull with his bare hands and gauges out his eyes. Deckard manages to kill 3 of them, and the last one is Roy. Roy overpowers deckard and toys with him, trying to make him scared so he understands what’s it’s like to live in fear. Roy is close to killing Deckard as he is hanging off a building, but Roy decides to help him up and explain that he is dying and wanted Deckard to understand how he feels. Then Roy dies
