Before Halloween, there was Black Christmas. The ORIGINAL slasher flick. The ORIGINAL “the call is coming from inside the house” horror masterpiece. Diehard horror fiends hold this in high regard and for good reason. This is an mandatory xmas time viewing for me.

I can’t believe how terrifying this is. Not even jumpscare scary, but dramatic irony-every camera movement instills dread-I wish I could jump out my skin-jesus f-ing christ-I need to check my entire house three times over-my knees are aching-…… scary… wow…

this is how you do a slasher. gotta rewatch during Christmastime

Wow way creepier than I thought it would be.

Olivia hussey did great I liked her acting. God that scene where all u see is his eye in the doorway…creepy!

It was good, it’s really creepy since there’s not really a score playing in the background that’s what really invokes the dread

I must’ve had my eyes closed or something when I watched this for the first time because this was terrifying 😭

interesting camera work and realistic acting characters, but pace was incredibly slow at times. too long for the amount of loose ends it left. not every question needs to be answered but this left too many.

Oh yeah this movie rips. I love how it focuses less on jumpscares and gore and instead focuses on suspense, and disturbing imagery and audio, which makes it feel scarily real. The ending is great and one of my favourite moments are the phone calls very unnerving and uncomfortabl

enjoyed it!! i love that jess didn’t back down to peter. also enjoyed the fact that she killed him. hated his ass. 7.8/10.
