As is typical of Iñárritu, this is another film centered around tragedy. However, this is the first movie where there is only one protagonist and a single storyline.
I honestly didn’t enjoy it as much as I expected, not because of the story itself, but because it felt very slow. It has some unexpected moments and suspenseful scenes, and at times I wasn’t sure if I was watching a horror film, a thriller, or a drama.
The performances were strong, especially Javier Bardem’s. The cinematography was excellent and very carefully crafted, with many close-up shots that helped capture the emotions of the characters.
The ending, however, was not entirely clear about who Uxbal’s children would stay with after his death. Overall, it is a visually impressive and well-acted film, but the slow pacing made it difficult for me to fully connect with it.

Fuckin fucked upVery deep life sad, to me it’s kinda similair to Trainspotting should deff watch if your into low budget drama films, I didn’t know this was directed by the same person who directed BABEL&Birdman. Also similar to Babel especially the soundtracks used in both.9/10
