Its 70% exposition, and 30% charming, fun, insane weird fever dream that I love

This movie is bat shit from start to finish and I can’t help but think if it was rated R it’d have been even more fun

❤️ Oddly a masterpiece! Martial art fight and monsters, but most importantly the white guy protagonist was subverting the trope of being cool, LOL. Fun movie to watch

Finally rewatched the Blu-ray. What a wacky hilarious and also subversive movie. Love that Jack is the butt of the joke but has no idea.

absolutely nothing could’ve prepared me for sorcerers coming out of a green explosion. part 829273 of me not reading the plot. i had no idea this movie involved sorcerers…. or monsters… or whatever else just happened. this was absolutely insane. was john carpenter doing crack?
