Big Chicken: A Fast Food Conspiracy Reviews

Prof. Gilligan, why on earth would you subject yourself to this kind of self-harm? I ask why, but sadly, it's an everyday thing for everyday people. The meat industry itself outdoes almost every other industry when it comes to indirect harm, more so than even the war industry. Mo Gilligan really is reaching for that hard-hitting journalist title, and I'm rooting for him. Most people probably don't think or know about the entire process behind the food on their plates. The environmental effects, welfare, ethics, scale, capital, waste, propaganda, and even politics of it all. It's dark, it's deep, and it's dangerous not just to the product/animals but to the customer/you. A good doc, but could've been much better.

Chicken is good in moderation, and their treatment of chickens is absolutely cruel.

Watched it as it was a recommendation, definitely interesting watch

Good documenting but honestly I don’t understand why Mo subjected himself to this after there already was Supersize me (even though yes it’s not the exact same food)

I feel like every industry is like this. And they made mc version of this in the esrly 00s. It was still nice to see how bad it was

Really inspiring and incisive documentary
