Nice couple and story but a bit too soapy for me

For this being 2014 it was pretty star studied and it wasn’t bad in terms of problematic scenes. The only issue I really had will stop fucking this girl while she has mental issues. But this really was a really good love story especially it being black.

I remember watching this on the same day it came out, on my birthday. I loved it then and I love it now. This is how you write a romance movie and I was happy to see this in black romance. This movie was a perfect balance of love, vulnerability, and overcoming your problems. They did well showing the characters take back control of their lives and how they love. Also being vulnerable and not caring what others think because that stops a lot of people from sharing their true selves, which they overcame. Writers don’t have to create unserious problems for the couple to go through a bad moment in their relationship, which they usually do. The writer/s created real life problems that affected both of their lives, which caused problems in their relationship. I love that the writer/s did that instead of doing something cheesy and played out. I highly recommend this movie if you want to see a great depiction of Love.❤️

It was okay if u like grownup drama, and the main character reminded me a lot of Rihana and Beyoncé if they had a baby..if that make any sense lol!
